What we check
- Driving without a valid break (4h30, then 45 min or 15 + 30 min)
- Daily driving time (9h, or 10h twice a week)
- Daily rest (11h, 9h reduced or 3h + 9h split)
- Weekly driving (56h) and two-week driving (90h)
- Weekly rest after at most six 24-hour periods
Every infringement gets its EU category: minor, serious, very serious or most serious. You also see when the next card download is due.
Where do I get the file?
Download the driver card in the tachograph, with a card reader or with the tool you already use. The file usually ends in .ddd. One file covers at least the last 28 days.
